How we help
Emergency Shelter
New Life Center’s 104 bed shelter provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed care model to support families in starting independent lives. Our emergency shelter program fulfills residents’ basic needs and provides the necessary resources for them to begin to thrive in their new lives, free of domestic and sexual violence.
Teen Dating Violence Prevention Training
We provide dating violence prevention training to middle school and high school students all over Maricopa County through Kaity’s Way. Our evidence-based curriculum and interactive workshops use captivating films, peer-to-peer discussions, and immersive activities to start meaningful conversations about healthy and unhealthy relationships, teaching students to practice healthy behaviors, recognize harmful signs, and access resources when in need.
Survivor Support Services
New Life Center creates customized support plans for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking by assessing their individual needs. Our services look different for every person, and we never make assumptions about what someone may or may not need to find healing and stability. Survivors, either at our emergency shelter or in a safe living situation, are able to access trained and dedicated staff who assist with advocacy and case management, trauma treatment, group and individual therapy, child care, legal services, transportation assistance, and much more.
Sunshine Healing Services
We have a stand alone sexual violence healing center for survivors, where they can find a sense of safety and community with other survivors. Services at the Sunshine Healing center are available to anyone who has experienced sexual violence, including both primary and secondary victims. We know that healing is a journey; therefore, we offer services throughout the survivor’s lifespan. Reports to law enforcement are not required in order to obtain services.
Sexual Assault Investigations Training
We provide statewide sexual assault investigation training for law enforcement, prosecution, and other criminal justice professionals. All training courses are taught by subject matter experts in the field, free to attend, and AZPOST credit eligible.
